- Criminal-history records and official checks: use the Georgia Crime Information Center within the Georgia Bureau of Investigation

- Record restriction: follow the Georgia process under O.C.G.A. §35-3-37, beginning with the prosecutor for a post-July 1, 2013 arrest or the arresting agency for an older arrest

The Sheriff's Office accepts focused open-records requests in person or by mail at 208 Court Street and by fax at 229-524-8528. Its request hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding holidays. The clerk handles court files separately at 200 South Knox Avenue.
